The one lane bridge just down from the Tavern is famous. It crosses the Coroglen river (actually called the Waiwawa River). There is a deep pool on the inland side of the bridge, which is great for swimming.
Note: our Backpackers is fully booked for 28 - 29 December 2011. And also for 2 January 2012 and 28 - 29 January 2012. Other dates may be used for Band Nights in that period (we are awaiting confirmation from our promoter). So for now, we can not accept bookings between 27 December and 3 January.
