The Coroglen Tavern Backpackers accommodation is located on the corner of State Highway 25 and the Tapu Road.
Relax in a friendly Backpackers accommodation adjacent to an iconic country tavern. It is handy to the Pinnacles and situated mid-way between Whitianga and Hot Water Beach.
We accommodate 23 people in double rooms, twin rooms, and dormitory rooms. Linen is provided. (Bring your own towels). We have a small guest lounge. There is a kitchen, but it is only suitable for simple things like breakfast toast, and making coffee or tea. You will need to get your meals from the Tavern.
Swim in the beautiful, peaceful river just across the road. Hear the native bird calls from the trees in the back garden.
Have a night out in our friendly tavern with great country food, and good beers.
We are just 2 hours from the Auckland airport (there is a door service available from Go Kiwi).
The Tairua Bus Company stops outside, and they provide service to Whitianga, Coromandel Town, Matarangi, Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Whenuakite and Tairua. And to Thames, Ngatea, Tauranga and Auckland. Click here for their web site: Tairua Bus Company
Cancellation Policy:
If a cancellation is made, we will always try to re-book the room.
If the room is able to be rebooked then there will be no cancellation fee.
If the room is not able to be rebooked then the following may apply for every night booked:
7 days of arrival date:
a 30% fee applies
24 hours of arrival date:
a 100% fee applies
You can leave a message for us to enquire about accomodation availability. Do this before you pay your deposit.
Accomodation Booking Deposit
In order to secure your booking, we require payment of a deposit of $40.
Please advise your booking details by leaving a message for us by clicking on the link above, or via Blue Castle, or by email. We will confirm receipt of your booking, and your deposit, by email.
We take internet payments using PayPal. You can use your PayPal account (if you have one) or a credit card. We do not have access to your payment method, or credit card details. PayPal is a secure website, and they retain the payment details.
You can also make your deposit payment by sending us a cheque, or by Bank Transfer. Contact us for details.
